Probability, Not Picks

Most prediction tools give you a pick and say "trust me." Benchie AI gives you calibrated probabilities, transparent confidence levels, and the math behind every number.

Calibrated Probabilities

When we say 65%, we mean it. Isotonic regression calibration ensures our probabilities match real-world outcomes.

Real-Time Game State

Predictions update at 24 checkpoints throughout every game. As context changes, our models adapt instantly.

Transparent Track Record

Every pick is logged before tip-off. Wins and losses both. No cherry-picking, no retroactive claims.

From Play-by-Play to Probability

A four-stage pipeline transforms raw NBA data into actionable, calibrated probability estimates.

1

Data Ingestion

1.5M rows of NBA play-by-play data spanning multiple seasons. Every possession, every substitution, every context signal.

Ensemble Prediction

Five model types compete and combine via stacking. Each trained across 24 game checkpoints and 3 player tiers (star, starter, role) for granular accuracy.

Calibrated Output

Raw predictions are converted to probabilities using empirical residual distributions and isotonic regression. The result: a probability you can trust.

Ask Benchie Anything

A conversational AI backed by 1.5M play-by-play rows. Ask about matchups, trends, recent performance, or upload a screenshot of your parlay for instant evaluation. Every answer is grounded in real data.

You
How does LeBron typically perform against the Mavericks defense?
Benchie
Based on the last 12 matchups, LeBron averages 26.4 PTS against Dallas — about 2.8 points below his season average of 29.2. The Mavericks hold opponents' primary scorers to -8.3% vs. their mean. His FG% drops to 46.2% from his usual 51.1%, suggesting their interior defense affects his finishing. However, his assists rise to 8.1 (vs. 7.2 avg), indicating he compensates by facilitating.
You
How has Steph Curry been with 3-pointers recently?
Benchie
Curry missed the last 3 games (right ankle). Prior to that, in his most recent 5 games played, he went 10/16 from three (62.5%), well above his season average of 41.8%. Worth noting: his minutes averaged 34.2 in those 5 games, and he took 6.8 3PA/game. Coming off rest, historical data shows his first game back 3P% drops ~5-8%.

Data-Backed Answers

Every response cites real play-by-play data, game logs, and model predictions. No vibes, just evidence.

Playing Time Predicts Everything

Points, rebounds, and assists are all highly correlated with minutes played. A player projected for 25 minutes will produce very differently than one expected to play 38. We model the why behind playing time, not just the stat.

Why Minutes Matter Most

LeBron scoring 45 points in a 45-minute game doesn't tell you much about his next game where he's projected to play just 25 minutes. Stat lines scale with opportunity, and opportunity is minutes. We treat playing time as the first prediction, not an afterthought.

Example: LeBron's PTS/min: ~0.75. At 38 min, projected 28.5 pts. At 25 min (blowout), projected 18.8 pts. Same player, same matchup — minutes change everything.

Rotation Rank

Stars, starters, rotation, and deep bench have different minutes floors and ceilings.

Injury Returns

Coming back from injury? Minutes restrictions, ramp-up protocols, and back-to-back limits all factor in.

Blowout Games

Stars get pulled early in blowouts, while bench players see extended run. Our model adjusts for score differential in real-time.

Teammate Injuries

When a teammate is out, remaining players absorb minutes. We track the redistribution effect on usage and opportunity.

Playoff Intensity

Starters play heavier minutes in the postseason. Close playoff games push stars to 42+ minutes — our models know this.

The Full Toolkit

Questions

Is this gambling advice? +
No. Benchie AI provides statistical analysis and probability estimates for informational and entertainment purposes only. All betting decisions are entirely your own responsibility. We are a data tool, not a financial advisor.
How are the probabilities calculated? +
Five machine learning models (XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost, Random Forest, Neural Network) are trained on 1.5M play-by-play rows. Their predictions are combined via stacking, then converted to probabilities using empirical residual distributions and isotonic regression calibration.
What makes this different from other pick services? +
Transparency. We publish our methodology, show wins and losses equally, and give you calibrated probabilities rather than "lock" picks. Our models are retrained regularly with autonomous monitoring from 13 specialized agents that ensure quality.
What markets do you cover? +
NBA player props: Points, Rebounds, Assists, and PRA (combined). Each market has its own dedicated ensemble of models trained on target-specific data. We focus on one sport and do it well.
What is the NBA LLM? +
Ask Benchie is a conversational AI that answers basketball questions using our 1.5M-row dataset. Ask about matchups, shooting trends, recent performance, injury impact, or anything else — and get answers backed by actual play-by-play data, not opinions. You can also upload a screenshot of your bet slip and get an instant evaluation of each leg.
Why does playing time prediction matter? +
Points, rebounds, and assists are all highly correlated with minutes played. A player projected for 25 minutes will produce very differently than one expected to play 38. We model the factors that drive playing time — blowout risk, injury returns, rotation depth, playoff intensity, and teammate absences — so the stat prediction accounts for the full context, not just a season average.
Can I upload a screenshot of my parlay? +
Yes. The Parlay Analyzer accepts screenshots from DraftKings, FanDuel, and other sportsbooks. Our AI reads the slip, extracts each leg, runs the probability engine, calculates correlated parlay odds (same-game legs are not independent), and gives you a risk grade, EV estimate, and the weakest leg.
